Mala 101

Purpose: A tactile anchor used in meditation, breath, and spiritual practices, helping practitioners maintain attention and spiritual focus.

Composition: Usually 108 beads, plus "guru" bead and tassel, made from materials like wood, seeds, or gemstones.

Symbolism: The 108 beads represent Universe’s wholeness and interconnectedness of existence. The Guru bead represents the student-teacher relationship.
